Are you tired of not feeling your best each day? Have you made efforts in the past to lose weight and lead a healthier lifestyle, but somehow none of your efforts have ever taken hold? Perhaps, like the former me, you lost weight then regained it plus 5 pounds. Yo-yo dieting and struggling with weight, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or type 2 diabetes is a common day occurrence for many. The good news is that there is a path to better health. Yes, improved health and weight loss is possible when you work with me, Candice Rosen R.N. I am a registered nurse, social worker, health counselor in Los Angeles and author of The Pancreatic Oath. I can help you help yourself!
Giving You the Tools and Information
My philosophy as a counselor differs from many others in that I believe that the body has the ability to heal itself if given the proper tools: wholesome, nutritious, responsibly grown, properly combined, pancreatic friendly foods. I believe in the practice of Self Health. You are your primary caregiver and your physician is your secondary caregiver. Your health, your weight are first and foremost your responsibility. As your counselor, I will educate you about your body and how food and beverage choices affect your weight and health. Behavior modification, nutrition, moderate exercise and stress reduction are the foundation of my program.
Helping You Discover the Causes
As your health counselor, I can help you discover the possible root causes of weight gain and health issues that are impacting the quality of your life. Too many people are prescribed prescription medications. In many cases, medications will treat/mask symptoms. The root cause is rarely explored. There is always cause and effect. Learn the role you play in the development of health and weight issues.
